Hey

I updated Pro to 12.3 and the first scene I am trying is not rendering right, the refractions are not rendering as they should (compared to previous version here: http://www.scorpiocgi.co.uk/_old/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/Cuffz.jpg )

Change the material types to glass, make sure solid is check, then back to plastic. This is a hunch i have and i can give you more details if this fixes the problem.

Hey David

I think I tried that yesterday, but I did that just now, and switching to glass has solid checked already, and switching back doesn't fix it. Unchecking and rechecking solid before switching back to plastic doesn't fix it either.

Hi Craig -

The issue is certainly with solid. it looks like plastic has always been defaulted to solid until now. We will see what changed and make the necessary adjustments for the next update. In the meantime, you can generate the look you did before using the "generic" material type and make sure to check "solid"
