We are finalizing it now. Are you currently running PowerBoost?

Thank you. No, I am not but I am interested to read about its capabilities. I am running PRO without boost.

Ok, so Boost and PowerBoost are two different products. Boost is built in to Pro so if you have Pro on multiple machines, you can leverage Boost. We made significant improvements to Boost for the 2012.3 release BTW so if you are not on that version, upgrade before trying Boost. Boost leverages all available machine to help a single job render, meaning it still ties up your an the other machines that are on the LAN.

PowerBoost is a server technology that lets you send a job from your machine, to the server. This option allows you to offload work from your machine so you can keep working, while the PowerBoost machine cranks away in the background.

Thank you David. My question is what is this server that you are referring to? Is it a local/private or a public/free server?

It would be a private server that you maintain locally or remotely.
