The latest driver for the 670 is the 301.xx series, any reason why I shouldn't use this driver, has anyone noticed any stability issues or other problems?
Should I stick with 296.xx driver for now? Any thoughts or advice appreciated.

WHAT!?! I didn't know the 670 came in a 4GB version. That's great news. The only difference between that and the 580 then are a few less (14% less actually) CUDA cores. And it saves 100 bucks.

Of course, results I've seen so far say that they aren't any faster than the 500 series.....Yet. Purchasing a new card I'd get a 600 series, but I won't be upgrading since the speeds are the same.

John G, I've heard of some people having issues with 300+ drivers... they went back to 29X and not they are OK!

So I guess its up to you and have a go!

@Andy, yes EVGA make a 4GB version

Performance wise its not as fast as we were hoping but its the 4GB memory that sold it for me.

@James, I've been using the 301.xx drivers with my 470 without any problems (so far), as I won't have the card till next week I think I'll stick with the 301.xx driver for now and see how it performs.

At the moment I recommend the 296 drivers; they're the oldest you can go with CUDA 4.2 support. We haven't has as much trouble with the 305s as the 301s, but there's been less time to get useful data.
