There's a very valuable missing feature here. Dummy objects. How are you to create them currently?
Changing an object's pivot point in Shot is Definitely something to be desired. One way to help with this is a dummy object. The problem is, I have to create the object, then hide all of them every time I want to render and unhide them every time I need to move something.

Sure, faded is useful, but I'm looking for an option that just makes an object completely non-renderable.
