    Hi David,
I am using Solidworks 2013 and I buying shot so I can add renderings to my presentations. It would be great to get your advice on this computer form Micro Center: http://www.microcenter.com/product/4...sktop_Computer

It seems like it could be a good rendering PC for Shot, if I add a Quadro 4000 to the build. This will then bring the price to around $1500, which seems like a great price, if you think it will render well that is...

    Thank you for the help,
    Shawn

  5. Hi Darius,
@1.The speed of a Quadro 4000 vs. the 570gtx will be almost identical. The advantage of the Quadro is the increase in VRAM, which will let you load larger goemetry/textures. Our software handles about 5 million polygons per GB.
@2.If you have SLI turned on, our software won't even run (SLI slows CUDA down). Also you don't want to mix GeForce and Quadro cards because of driver conflicts.
@3.If you're looking for speed, look for a card with the most CUDA cores possible, however, pay attention to how much VRAM each card has because this will be your limit for geometry/textures.
@4.What you should look for is a Maximus system. Dell, HP and Lenovo offer them. These systems have two GPU's, one Quadro and one Tesla, and what these systems let you do is use the Quadro for graphics (CAD, photoshop etc.) and the Tesla for rendering. Not only will one of these systems speed up performance with our software, but you'll get better performance in your CAD system/graphics programs too.

    Hi,

first excuse my bad english. i am using bunkspeed shot with this symtem:

    16gb ram

i got some questions and it would be very nice if you could help me.

    1. i want to buy an nvidia quadro 4000. will the rendering be alot faster then with the 570gtx?

    2. the motherboard dosent support SLI. may i use on this board the quadro 4000 and the 570gtx together?

    3. what is better for bunskpeed shot 2x quadro 2000 or 1x quadro 4000

    4. i think to buy an lenove workstation with xeon-cpu. will the workstation speed up bunkspeed more then my actual computer?
