You would probably be better off by using a backplate if i understand what you're saying. If you want to see the environment (or an environment) through a window from an interior architectural shot, just load a sky backplate or some other backplate. If not a backplate, you'll want to load a high res hdri (4096 x 2048px or even bigger) but the downside is that big environments are slower to manipulate and adjust.
